The following users types are eligible for a Rutgers Box account:

  • Faculty
  • Staff
  • Students
  • Guests

IMPORTANT: Box at Rutgers University is not appropriate for storing or sharing most types of institutional data classified as “Restricted.” With additional security measures, Box at Rutgers may be used to store some data that contains protected health information (PHI) regulated by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA).
